For the time being, this post will only list works that I've shared since July 2024.
My old (2010~2024) masterlist on LJ is here. It has roughly 160 works (with my name on 'em, at least).
✧ Currently, none of my posted works are here at my journal.
✧ Each link either goes to the original thread at comms around LJ and DW, or it goes to AO3. (So far, everything has been a fill for a prompt. 6^^;; That's become my public MO, haha.)
✧ All of the following fanfics can be read over at my AO3 account. ♫
✦ I own the writing and drawing. ✎ Everything was created by my brain and my hands.
✦ Please do not post or archive elsewhere without my permission. (This includes giving AI my creations.) Please ask me before translating my writing into other languages.
✦ I do not own the characters, and I am not making a profit off of them.
If you have any questions or comments, feel free to message me. =^.^=

Thank you for reading. ❤ I hope you enjoy any piece of my works, even just a little bit.

The Batman stuff
Happy 3rd anniversary, waiting for Part II is a constant source of pain, etc, etc
Thought so: Flow and The Wild Robot were in March!
As was Mickey 17! I flipped through Mickey 7 well beforehand, decided it wasn't my type of book, but the movie was what I expected from the novel and esp the director (good :D)
SW: The Acolyte
Did not pre-order (or buy) any SWCJ art show prints (resistance is good)
Researching pens and markers, thank you Reddit
Manny Jacinto stuff
SWCJ excitement in general
Considered Star Wars in Concert (orchestra performances), didn't go (sold out?)
SWCJ guest and panel info
To quote a Reddit post title: "There’s no Revenge of the Sith or The Force Awakens anniversary panels!?!?!" [r/StarWarsCelebration]
Tried to figure out if I could volunteer at SWCJ for a day/half a day (no public call for volunteers... unusual, apparently.)
SWCJ exhibitor info
S.W.A.G. Crew (unofficial fan tradition) info, still trying to decide what to make...
I made a PayPal account. Finally. 6^^;;;
Got a(n unofficial resale, shhh) ticket for the day I was missing! Can go all three days!
Reservations for the major four panels -- I got two! (ANDOR AND VISIONS!!)
The photo op I bought still didn't have a group/time listed, maybe? Autographs were a little more flexible.
Checking on my many-months-old hotel reservation, lol, directly with the hotel -- the reservation site didn't send me any reminders/emails, weird -- everything was fine/good to go!
Cobra Kai thoughts, continued
Devil May Cry feelings
NDMC came out in early April, but...
Omg, DMC5 came out 6 yrs ago
(Omg, I think DMC5 is the last game I've beaten, ahahaha)
I tweeted a sudden thought about Gerbera to Itsuno Hideaki-san, and he liked my tweets. ♡ ^///^
(Ah, Itsuno-san doesn't work for Capcom anymore. The list of ex-Capcom developers is long...)
Kevin Conroy feelings (my Batman, there goes my heart... a human DMC character was a surprise)
Johnny Yong Bosch feelings (who was always Nero, and is now also Dante, good for him)
Netflix Devil May Cry (mostly by Studio Mir)
Meant to rewatch the 2007 anime series, only read summaries instead of rereading manga and novels
One day, anime Nero will exist. (along with everyone else in DMC4 and DMC5)
Netflix DMC got renewed for s2 very fast...
Still waiting for the Castlevania: Nocturne s3 announcement, Netflix, ffs.
More Castlevania things
Resident Evil stuff
Considered buying The King of Fighters XIII Global Match on Steam, with a KoF XIII discount (mixed reviews?)
Still don't have KoF XV, either, uh oh... (pretty good reviews?)
Some gaming news and stuff in general
Guilty Gear Strive: Venom is coming soon! :D (Season Pass 4's 2nd DLC character)
Guilty Gear Strive: Dual Rulers is coming soon!! :D (first GG anime series ever)
Another new Netflix movie to add to the stack of others I haven't seen yet
Haven't seen any Daredevil besides his Spider-Man, She-Hulk, and Echo cameos...
Did watch:
Lessons from a School Shooting: Notes from Dunblane
The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Terminator: Dark Fate
Old J-music/anime theme song lyrics and translations? Huh.
Oh, also looked up things from 2007, so that's kind of related, hahaha
DC Comics info - Detective Comics, Batman: Urban Legends, etc
Besides Bruce, Harvey, and Jason, trying to keep track of a couple of minor characters
Avengers: Doomsday casting news / hype video (conspicuous absence of certain X-Men?)
Hurt/Comfort Exchange requests and offers
AO3 tags are interesting / tagging is hard, Part 238
Info about Long Live Feedback on Tumblr (encourages comments and discussion on fanfics/fanworks)
RL bits and pieces, besides all the SW Celebration Japan stuff:
Daylight Saving Time (small improvement!)
Missing Mardi Gras... would love some king cake. Did I get a galette des rois? Probably, lol
14th anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and Tsunami
The Ides of March!
Spring break / between school years / no classes at work / new faculty and staff coming
The Batman stuff

February 2025 [recap notes]
Feb. 27th, 2025 09:50 pmGoing through my internet history for hints about February. 6^^;;
January things: missed Snowflake Challenge and Funuary... (participated some in 2024)
Couldn't do anything for the Small Fandoms Drabblethon... (haven't participated)
Getting ready for Hurt/Comfort Exchange (first time!)
Getting ready to get ready for May the 4th Exchange? (first time!)
Still very deeply into Castlevania: Nocturne / s2 behind-the-scenes stuff posted on Twitter
Franz Ferdinand's new album (The Human Fear) still gnawing my brain, along with Hits to the Head
I tried to get a ticket for the Guilty Gear Strive Music Live in Yokohama, but I lost the lottery.
(First experience with Lawson Ticket. It was intense, lol.)
A bit of The Witcher Netflix s4 news, Eamon Farren interview
The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep (animated movie #2 / by Studio Mir)
Found out you can watch Intermission (2003) online! I still haven't rewatched it, oops.
Need to check the dates on these:
Gladiator II
David Lynch passed away
Captain America: Brave New World
Flow
The Wild Robot
Watched those Zootopia+ shorts?
I finally watched Okja -- Mickey 17 came out, but not in Japan until March
The final season of Cobra Kai! Aaahhh! (I watched s6 all together, not part by part)
Star Wars in general
Many SW: The Acolyte thoughts
Legacy of Vader comic series info -- which I haven't started reading, but I've seen a few panels
SW Celebration Japan photo op/signing info news! First batch of announced guests? Second?
How to make/print S.W.A.G. for SW Celebration in general
SWCJ 2025 badge art series by Takumi = beautiful.
Two-Face solo comic limited series info -- which I've since read!
Also read Task Force Z before that / also need to check when I read it
A couple of brief check-ins with pro tennis...
LOTRO opened its official Discord server. (The older major server is still around.)
I haven't been checking Discord in general...
Hints about RL stuff would be elsewhere, but here's a start:
When did I mail that package to the family? I sent it between birthdays, right?
Transferring money / exchange rates are awful, Complaint Number 1 million
Off the top of my head, what I remember best about February last year:
The Deadpool & Wolverine teaser trailer / Super Bowl ad emotionally knocking me out with the first glimpse of Pyro in 18 years. Was that really a year ago? What is time?

January 2025 [recap later]
Jan. 31st, 2025 10:08 pmAll I can really say right now is... it's gonna be a helluva long four years.
Okay, one happy and fun thing: I'm kinda obsessed with Franz Ferdinand (the band) once more. I was listening to their older music before the new album came out, and now I'm in a 70/30 mix of new and old music. It's great.
All right, another :D thing: I'm definitely obsessed with Castlevania: Nocturne. Been thinking about s2 a lot. Been lurking around the animators/creators tweets a lot (so much cool behind-the-scenes stuff they're sharing!). I cannot wait for s3, whenever that is. It has to happen.
Oh, also, on that note, there's going to be a Takarazuka Revue stage show of Castlevania later this year. Holy crap. XD The costumes and hair/make-up (and sets!) are gonna be fantastic. XD

About December [write better later]
Dec. 29th, 2024 11:30 pmI think my "making progress on old goals" AO3 tag works well for this month. I finished my Gen Prompt Bingo card with two fandoms (plus one recent/new one) I've wanted to write fics for and post for a couple of years now. Yay. :D
I fell deeper into (The) Batman. 6^^;; Watched The Penguin series earlier this month (in one weekend), just watched the animated version of The Long Halloween this weekend... But...
RELEASE DATE DELAY. AGAIN. UGH.
The sequel to The Batman (and any other possible limited series after that) won't be out for YEARS (went from autumn 2025... to autumn 2026... to autumn 2027). Maybe I will post that post-Penguin partial fix-it I wrote after all...
Been thinking about Nolan's next movie, too, which thankfully will be released sooner (summer 2026): The Odyssey.
Lemme repeat that: THE ODYSSEY. And that cast... Asdfghjkl.
Other fandoms I have / I want to have on my brain: the Lord of the Rings (saw War of the Rohirrim! :D and need to play some LOTRO, for reals...), MCU (behind on it), Star Wars (also behind on it). In general, I'm further behind on my watchlist at this point than I'd hoped to be at the end of 2024.

About November [write later]
Nov. 30th, 2024 10:35 pmI think November was basically me rewatching Tenet, obsessing over Neil and Protagoneil, subsequently thinking about The Batman again, and starting a bunch of drafts that I didn't finish by the end of the month like I'd hoped. 6^^;;;;
I don't know if I should/will mention the ----- in the ------.
Then there's the "what do I want to do before 2024 ends" list that I'd like to make a dent in, at least.
Oh, and I finally started rewatching Batman: TAS a little! :D Bruce Wayne really was one of my first childhood crushes, right alongside Remy LeBeau. ❤

About October [write later]
Oct. 27th, 2024 06:30 pmLet's see... October is when The Hobbit and LotR finally took control of my brain away from X-Men, I think. Started writing my first LotR-specific fic drafts ever, I'm mostly sure. (And with a less popular but still supported slash pairing. No surprises there. XD)
I didn't go to Tokyo in October for that geeky fan event, in the end. Probably for the best. (Money, mostly, but also energy...) It was too soon after my last trip there.
And then Venom 3 happened towards the end of the month. It looks great, it's pretty good in theater, but then... When you think about it later, it's actually more of a hot mess than the first two movies. Hrm.

September's steady decline downhill...
And update with not going to TGS in the end after all.
Still going to Tokyo, though! Because of the train ticket. XD;; And possible tennis.
At least I added two more icons to my DW, whoo~ (The Loki pair and the X-Men pair. ^.^) Now I'm up to 13 of 15. One of the last two should be a general or name icon, I think, with a nature photo.

A refreshing month of refreshing on X-Men
Jul. 7th, 2024 09:50 pmI've decided that this month is X-Men Month for me. I've already put this plan into motion. ✨ ❤
I'm going to rewatch all of the movies and at least start rewatching the '90s cartoon. :D
(If I somehow manage to finish that show, too, I'll have to find a way to watch X-Men: Evolution again.)
(Oh, wait! There's also the new/recent X-Men '97 cartoon series. Am I ready for that, though?)
There are 13 movies in total:
+ the original X-Men trilogy
+ 3 for Wolverine
+ the 4 parts of the X-Men: First Class timeline
+ 2 for Deadpool
+ The New Mutants
And then, I've gotta double-check the episode count for the animated series, but I think it's something like 65 episodes divided into 5 seasons on that streaming platform.
AND THEN it'll be time for Deadpool & Wolverine to ruin my life, like a cat knocking every single thing off of a shelf and sprawling itself out right in the middle of it, a sleek yet fluffy centerpiece that demands adoration and zero touching from those below its pedestal.

Waiting for news... about many things
May. 12th, 2024 12:42 pm...(*sighs*)... Waiting sucks.
We're approaching that time of year when the days of my work contract are dwindling, and I can't make concrete plans for anything after July... Because the official talks about signing a new work contract have barely started. At least, at my level. The local board of education and the company I work for have to hash out all the details first, and I probably won't get asked the big question until June. JUNE. I really really hope that I hear something about it by the end of May, though. (It's very doubtful, but I can hope. >:P)
Besides my personal "hmm, where will I be living and working in August, I wonder..." concerns, I've got multiple people in my life asking me about it and serious adult life things (some mundane and all important) that depend on me making arrangements / updating information. x__X
Plus, there's a huge, big, fun 3-day event I wanna go to in April 2025 that I cannot buy tickets for yet, and the tickets went on sale a week ago. D:
There's another 1- or 2-day event in September (at the same venue actually -- a venue I am well-acquainted with XD) that I might attend, but I don't have to worry about those tickets for a while.
There's a concert here in July that I would love to go to, but I kinda accidentally missed my chances (there were two big chances), because I couldn't decide what to do about it... and partly because I didn't know if a friend could/would go with me.
Oh, but one good thing, assuming I'll still be here for it: my friend and her husband are planning to visit Japan in October! :D I must see them! I haven't met him yet, and I haven't seen her since she moved from Kanagawa Prefecture to Florida.
But yeah... Waiting really sucks.

Some quick fic stats for 2024
Apr. 30th, 2024 09:15 pmSince I got off to a good start (and ended last year on a productive note, too), this is just for me to keep track of what fanfic drafts I've finished this year... and hopefully motivate me to keep some momentum going through December. Nothing too complicated.
(I've been really working on actually completing things this year. 6^^; Usually, a lot of my drafts end up collecting dust somewhere.)
Jan 1st ~ May 31st
✦ Jan: 4
✦ Feb: 3
✦ Mar: 0
✦ Apr: 3
✦ May: 4
➔ Total number of fics: 14
➔ Total number of words: 7,555 (!! already?! also, that's a rather aesthetic number~ XD)
Fandoms: 7
✧ The Witcher x4 (was writing it at the end of 2023, too!)
✧ Stranger Things x3 (last posted fic was in March 2023!)
✧ X-Men x2 (last posted fic was in August 2015! OH HELLO I'M BACK Y'ALL)
✧ 2 new for me (x1 each): The Hobbit/Tolkien, Gundam Seed
✧ 3 other old favorites (x1 each): Inception, Final Fantasy VII, Sunshine (2007)
Prompt sources: 3
Comment Fic, Funuary, Witcher Whump Week
Also have my Gen Prompt Bingo card and would like to do something for a Harringrove (StTh) event.
----> I think I have a plan for my bingo card! But I've got nothin' for HG events, ahahahaha, oh no.
I didn't make any specific fic writing goals for this year. Maybe write and share over 10K? I got so close to that word count last year. Maybe participate in more fandom and general writing events? Work on old ideas? There are a handful of fandoms that I've started drafts for in recent years, or I've been interested in for a long time, but I've never posted in.
It hasn't even been six months, and I'm doing pretty damn well already, I think. :D I feel like I should be in shock and have a blanket around me, haha.

Well, I did it. 6^^;; I signed up for a challenge event.
I've never done a bingo challenge before, but I think I can handle
genprompt_bingo. It seems like a very laid-back and flexible one to use as a starting point: there is no deadline, and the minimum word count is 100. Sounds like my kind of challenge. >:P XD;
Wish me luck, I guess? :D?
I definitely got some interesting prompts to ponder over. =^.^= Looks like fun. ✎
December 2024 update: Bingo! :D I posted five prompt fill fics in six days. :D Finished it later than I'd hoped, but it's done! :D

I... didn't mean to not post anything here for a full month. 6>_>;; March kinda slipped away from me, especially the last week of it. T^T
I should (I think) have time to backdate a couple of posts, at least, this week.
The start of April marks the start of the new school year, but students don't have to be there until the 8th. And then there's a lot of new school year stuff that needs to be done (like entrance ceremonies and freshmen orientation, not to mention my own meetings with teachers) before I'll be joining/assisting in any English classes.
But yes, I haven't forgotten about Dreamwidth already, don't worry. XD;

I completely forgot that I'd meant to do this challenge. 6^^;; Two in February instead of fifteen in January isn't that terrible...
So, here it is: five things I didn't expect to get into and enjoy, in no particular order.
[1] Biohazard / Resident Evil
I've spent a large portion of my life avoiding or not really caring about horror, especially films and video games. I don't consider myself a zombie fan. I cannot play survival horror games, I don't like shooters, and absolutely hate when a game controller vibrates, lol. But gradually, over time, Resident Evil has become my main exception to the rule. The key to it? I enjoy watching other people play the games. I also enjoy the CGI movies and other main franchise media. I'm slowly catching up on all of the live-action movies, too.
I still don't like the grotesque stuff, but psychological horror is fun! And I've always liked things with fighting demons and hunting monsters, which in my mind are separate from stories of people surviving outbreaks and mutations. It really helps that BH/RE has a great cast of interesting characters, and it explores the "humans are the real monsters" idea sometimes.
[2] Takarazuka Revue
This was more of a thing that I was curious about for a long time, but my Japanese level wasn't great, and (most importantly) I didn't have a way in -- both to get started and to keep following it. It's also hard to keep up with it if you're outside of Japan, although in recent years that has gotten relatively easier, I think. The show programs even have a plot summary page in English now! Amazing.
I owe everything I know about Soragumi (Cosmos Troupe) to a good friend I made in Japan less than ten years ago. She has been in a Revue actor's fan club for years. She was also in the fan club of her all-time favorite Revue actor before her retirement. She is my 'zuka dealer. I've seen a bunch of shows, both live and recorded, thanks to her -- including my favorite actor's retirement. We currently don't live near each other, but we try to meet up when we can!
[3] Western RPGs
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim was my first Western RPG. It took me a long time to figure it out, lol. (Have I finished the main story? Nope! Side quests and distracted exploring all the way!) Before Skyrim, almost all of the video games I'd played (or knew a fair bit about) were made in Japan. It felt like I had to rewire my brain from my knowledge of how JRPGs work, even though, the more you play both types, the more similarities you can find under the surface. I like Lord of the Rings Online, and I'd like to play more Dragon Age, to give a couple more examples.
One of my oldest friends made my Steam account for me and gifted Skyrim to me way back when. It was the start of my shift away from console gaming to PC gaming, and then I got interested in trying other Western games and indie games in general. I still love Japanese games, too, of course! These days, I mostly follow my long-time favorite franchises... and whatever I have the time, money, and PC specs for.
[4] Tennis
For this one, it was the right time and the right friends. Before college, I did not give a single damn about sports. I didn't flat-out hate sports, but I would get very bored very easily whenever the topic came up. I had no school spirit (although our school colors were pretty good, lol). I'd watch part of a game on TV if someone else was watching it first. The Olympics were okay... Needless to say, I didn't grow up playing sports. I flinch and have some coordination but zero stamina.
It turned out that my university had great tennis teams (men's and women's!) and that a couple of college friends had played tennis in high school. I still wasn't interested in playing it myself (too self-conscious), but I was surprised to find a love for watching live matches on campus and watching professional tennis on TV. I became a big fan of some pro players over the years that followed, and I really, really wish I could easily keep up with it now. I don't have a good way to watch pro tennis on delay these days, let alone live. Highlight videos are nice, but they're not the same, y'know?
[5] Stranger Things
I was late to watch s1. There was so much hype for it in 2016 or so, and despite all of the '80s homages, the horror part kept it pretty far down on my "to watch" list. I think I watched s2 with most people. Then, I put off s3 until after s4 was out, and... Watching s3 and s4 back-to-back in the autumn of 2022 changed me, lol. I was so. Freaking. Mad. And sad. And disappointed. And just... I had too many feelings and thoughts about certain characters, and I needed an outlet.
I am not used to being in a big and popular fandom. I'm definitely not used to my main ship being one of the most popular ships in the fandom. With a fandom of that size, with predominately teenage characters as the canon focus, running into a lot of fandom drama is to be expected. I hadn't seen melodramatic fandom wank like that in years... However! Although my main ship gets vocal hate sometimes, it also gets a lot more love and respect and cool people, so it's easy to tune out the negativity.
I generally don't get into fandoms centered around teenagers anymore -- I usually feel like that ship has sailed for me, lol. But StTh decided to show me two idiots with nice hair and nice cars and a weird tension between them that canon calls a "rivalry," but like, is it though? Really? So, logically, I make them kiss, pine for each other, and support one another. What else was I supposed to do with [gestures vaguely] all of that?

Close encounters with wildlife
Feb. 23rd, 2024 07:40 pmToday is Friday the 23rd. I had no idea this week would turn out so interesting. I had some rare experiences mixed in with some quieter days at work, not to mention the very abnormal and fluctuating weather.

Anyway, I didn't write this up well, but I wanted some account of it somewhere besides the very sparse notes in my current daily log notebook, which are basically "cool birds~!!" and "tanuki~!!" written at the tops of the pages. XD;;

About Me (Fandom Snowflake Challenge #4)
Feb. 18th, 2024 05:25 pmHello! ^_^ I'm finally doing something for Fandom Snowflake, specifically Challenge #4: the Icebreaker Challenge.
( Personal life info and favorite things )
I will come back and add fandoms! XD;; I lost track of the time...
Don't type while you're hungry, y'all. Don't be like me. 6^^;; I'm pretty sure it's why many of my posted fanfics have foods and drinks in them somewhere...
Fandom time~! ♫ :D
( Fandom life info and favorite things )
If you've made it through this rambling mess of a post, congratulations and I'm sorry. XD;;; I am incapable of keeping it brief when I'm talking about the geeky things I love. I hope you understand. As you can see, I've been all over the place in fandom. I may seem to jump around a lot, but I often return to things eventually. Y'know how it is -- there's just so much out there to enjoy. ~_^
And now I need an actual meal... Until next time!

Two more icons!
Feb. 13th, 2024 11:45 pmI've got ten on Dreamwidth now, yay~ :D
I MADE A NEW TESTAMENT ICON OF THEM IN THEIR GG STRIVE ERA. LOOK AT THEM. THEY'RE SO CUTE. ❤✨❤✨
...Ahem. 6^^;;
My old Testament icon on LiveJournal is one of the first icons I ever uploaded over there. I can't even remember how I managed to make it, haha. (Omg, was it Paint Shop Pro?? My friends gave me copies of all kinds of stuff back then. XD) It feels right to have Testament here on DW, too. [Insert the smiling with happy tears emoji here.] I kinda wanted to play around in digital figure mode some more and get a better screenshot (pose, angle, background -- the works!), but there was a strong chance of me losing sleep over a digital photo shoot and then suffering from indecision about all my beautiful options for an icon. XD;
My other new icon is, of course, Star Wars. ♫ I had to get my villainous Dark Side BFF trio in there. >:D Remember when we had Episode VII and Rogue One? Those were fun times. It got a bit complicated for a while after that.
Anyway, I've got another SW icon started, one of Obi-Wan and Andor. I thought about a lot of SW characters, but what can I say? Obi-Wan is my favorite. ❤ I very much enjoyed his series, and I cannot wait for more Andor. I'm still pretty disappointed that s2 won't be out this year. (Last I heard, anyway. Plenty of Star Wars things are coming out this year, and I'm behind on certain other things... 6>_>;; And that's not including the SW novels I bought almost two years ago and still haven't read.)
Hmm. I might bring over my Shinra Company logo (Final Fantasy VII) icon from LJ, too. Or finish the Loki + Mobius (MCU) one I started making. After the next two or three, I probably won't think about icons for another month or so.

Yup, not healthy...
Feb. 11th, 2024 07:35 pmSo... I've definitely not been feeling well this week, especially this weekend. =__=;; It's not a constant feeling, but it's pretty present most of the day... I think the honey lemon ginger tea a coworker gave me on Thursday helped, but holy crap it was sweet, lol. I've still got some lemon lime black tea, too, and plenty of other nice warm beverages I can make. ^_^ Warm (instant) oatmeal was good this morning, too.
I'm really glad tomorrow's a holiday -- or well, an exchange day off for today's holiday. (Today is National Foundation Day / 建国記念の日 / Kenkoku Kinen no Hi.)
In other news, I've run into 403 errors a lot on Dreamwidth, both yesterday and today. And I've learned the hard way that you can't easily schedule posts in advance here. (The email workaround method sounds like more trouble than it's worth...) My weekend guest host posts will just have to go up on DW when I can successfully get them posted.
All right, it's time for dinner! (Soup and something?) And then either more writing, watching a movie, or (if my sinuses/nose/head/eyes can handle it) playing some LOTRO. My poor main elf dude was working on slayer deeds, like... a while ago. 6^^;; I haven't circled back to that, ahaha...
